The Silver Apple 15" MacBook Air now features the Apple M3 chip, which has many improvements over its predecessor, the M2. Built on 3nm process technology, the M3 8-Core Chip is combined with a 10-Core GPU. The next-gen GPU features Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and mesh shading, all of which significantly increase performance for demanding creative apps and games. The M3 Chip also has a 16-Core Neural Engine that can leverage the power of AI for both macOS and a growing number of supported apps. It also includes 8GB of unified RAM and a 256GB SSD. With Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and support for two external displays, this MacBook Air delivers excellent performance, power efficiency, and portability.

This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple's website for upgrade eligibility.

Now packed with 25 billion transistors, five billion more than the M2, the Apple M3 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Built with 3nm process technology, the Apple M3 8-core chip features four performance cores and four efficiency cores, which are up to 35 percent faster than M1 for CPU performance. The M3 also supports up to 24GB of unified memory.

With a 10-Core GPU, the M3 features Dynamic Caching, which allocates the use of local memory in real-time. Dynamic Caching only uses the exact amount of memory needed for each task, dramatically increasing GPU performance, especially for demanding pro apps and games. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing is now available for the MacBook Air.
